Creamy Cinnamon Smoothie

This smoothy reminds me of Autumn, but it’s fruit based! Perfect medley of Spring and Autumn.

It uses a base of fresh juice, but if a juicer is unavailable you can still make it with purchased juice. Here’s what I used for the juice, which has a hidden vegetable for added nutrition!

  • an orange
  • a carrot
  • mini apple (gala)
  • 1/2″ fresh ginger

Once you have the fresh juice get out your other ingredients for your blender:

  • the juice
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 small/med banana
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/4tsp cinnamon
  • sprinkle of Stevia extract
  • a few ice cubes

You can use a frozen banana for an even creamier texture. The Greek yogurt adds a protein benefit while thickening it, and the almond milk makes it drinkable. Careful not to add too big of a banana because then the taste will take over, otherwise it blends in with the other flavors and brings out the cinnamon cream flavor. Great afternoon snack! Have with some pita chips and hummus… mmmmm 🙂
